Adventurer’s Guild (Solen Branch)
“Take a number. Fill out the form. Try not to die.”
Overview
The Adventurer’s Guild was founded approximately 3,000 years ago around the discovery of the metaphysical resonance now known as Mythos. Its original discoverer built the framework. His followers built the institution.
The Solen Branch of the Adventurer’s Guild is the formal registry and quest-posting institution that the party operates out of. It is the entry point for ranked adventuring work, the place where contracts are filed, and the bureaucratic backbone of legitimate hero work in the city.
Richie Jr. pays to manipulate its posting boards. M3 needs its ranks to build a reputation. Everyone has an opinion about the queue times.
Structure
- Tiered ranking system for adventuring parties (see Ranking System below)
- Quest posting board: public contracts from citizens, nobles, merchants, and institutions
- Filing fees, performance bonds, and completion records
Ranking System
Full details in Adventurer System. Summary of ranks:
| Rank | Scope | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| F | Entry level | Assigned at registration. Deliveries, minor errands. |
| E | Local | Name recognized within the branch network. |
| D | Regional | Fee reduction, regional contracts, light equipment credit. |
| C | Political | City leadership takes notice. Sealed contracts become available. |
| B | Kingdom | Dedicated Guild liaison. Full fee waiver on standard contracts. |
| A | National | National Icon status. Guild formally backs the registrant. |
| S | Continental | Treated as a peer institution. Contract terms are negotiated. |
The party starts at F Rank. Rank is tracked by enchanted seals issued at registration. The Guild does not revoke rank. See Adventurer System for quest tiers, fee structure, contract types, and full rank benefits.
Goals
Facilitate adventuring contracts. Maintain records. Theoretically ensure some baseline of competence among registered parties.
Resources and Reach
- Contract network across Solen and surrounding region

- Connected to a wider Guild network beyond Solen (scope TBD)
Story Role

Connections
- M3: the party, registered members working to climb the ranks.
- The Rich Initiative: rival party pressuring the Guild with money and forms for better visibility.
- Anne T. Agonist: her projects occasionally reduce wait times at the Guild as a side effect of her “villainy.”
- Mayor Mayor: his patronage of M3 gives them credibility the Guild cannot ignore.
