Jaiden
Full name: Jade Mineral Collure

Overview
Jaiden is a child who does not avoid danger. Danger avoids her. She stands still and the world fails to harm her. She is lazy and unbothered until something needs shielding. When things escalate she announces she is done, walks in a straight line into the worst of it, and saves everyone by existing in front of them.
She is Jack’s cousin. Showing up wherever he operates is apparently unavoidable.
The irony: the one thing that can hurt her is psychic damage. Jack’s first and most frequently used spell is Dissonant Whispers. This has caused problems.
Appearance
- Small frame, loose shirt, long pants, zip-up hoodie
- Blue and yellow hairties
- Scuffed sneakers, hands permanently in pockets, half-lidded stare
- Moves like she is sleepwalking until impact proves otherwise

Mobile Cover Creatures directly behind Jaiden have three-quarters cover against line effects and ranged attacks from the opposite side.
Throw In The Towel When Jaiden declares she is done, she moves up to her Speed in a straight line toward the greatest visible threat. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks and ignores difficult terrain.
Not A Prison Non-damage removal effects such as Banishment or Imprisonment affect Jaiden normally if she fails the save.
Actions
Shoulder Check. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target. Hit: 6 (1d8+1) bludgeoning.
Body Block (Action). Choose one ally within 5 ft. Until the start of Jaiden’s next turn, attacks against that ally are made with disadvantage and Jaiden may choose to become the target instead.
Reactions
Interpose. When a creature Jaiden can see within 10 ft is targeted by an attack or line effect, Jaiden moves up to 10 ft to place herself in the path, becoming the new target. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
Legendary Actions (3 per round)
- Step In (1 action): Move up to 10 ft without provoking opportunity attacks.
- Block Sight (1 action): Impose disadvantage on one ranged attack against an ally she can see.
- Throw In The Towel (3 actions): Activate the Throw In The Towel trait immediately.
Story Role
Walking bunker. Absorbs set piece hazards and buys tempo for the party. Recurring gag with real mechanical teeth. The comedy is that she refuses to try and saves everyone anyway.
